Overview

Austin College is a private liberal arts college located in Sherman, Texas and has a 100-acre environmentally green campus North of Dallas. Austin College was founded in 1849 and fosters close interaction between professors and students by having a small class size, most averaging fewer than 25 students. The College offers around 35 majors and pre-professional programs. Students can also choose a specialized major according to their particular interests. 

Austin College has a nationally recognized five-year Master of Arts in Teaching program, for which it is quite famous. Other popular programs include pre-medical, pre-law, and international studies. The music program at Austin College is also popular, and the department supports the Austin College A Cappella Choir and the Sherman Symphony Orchestra.

The Center for Student Success and Access Services organizes programs to develop the skills of students through coaching, workshops, and tutoring. Accommodation

Austin College provides on-campus accommodation to students and prefers that most of them stay in the residence halls for three years during their education. The campus has five residence halls with all the major facilities and also has other apartments and flats.
