University of Illinois at Chicago is a popular public research university located in Chicago, Illinois. The campus for the university is second under the University of Illinois system, and it has over 33,000 students enrolled in 16 colleges. The university was established in 1982, but the roots can be traced back to the founding of the Chicago College of Pharmacy in the year 1859. Currently, the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) has become a global leader in subjects such as nursing, pharmacy, education, communication, law, and public administration. 

The university offers 86 bachelor's, 111 master's, and 66 doctoral degrees. Additionally, the university also has 11 inter-college programs, many of which are organized as specific centers like the Center for Structural Biology, Cancer Center, Neuroscience program, Moving Image Arts program, and others.

UIC offers campus housing facilities to students through various residence halls and complexes. The undergraduates live on the east side of the campus, which is minutes away from the lecture halls. Students living on the south side of the campus wake up to views of the Chicago skyline.
